3 Rocks Engineering & Surveying is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer (E3) to serve as the primary civil technical resource for our Colorado Springs office. Reporting directly to the Colorado Springs Team Leader, you will perform as a technical powerhouse to lead our design efforts and represent our engineering excellence in the local community.

This role is ideal for a "heavy hitter" in design who has experience working on a wide variety of civil engineering projects with a primary focus on commercial and residential site development projects and ensuring the highest quality of engineering work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Technical Lead: Act as the primary civil technical resource for the Colorado Springs office, ensuring our design work is accurate and innovative.

• Design Excellence: Take complete responsibility for project designs within your discipline, guiding drafters and less experienced engineers to complete tasks.

• Collaboration: Work alongside our business-focused Team Leader to represent 3 Rocks Engineering’s technical competence to clients and the community.

• Project Management: While others will often manage the administrative side of projects, you will be responsible for the technical scope and may manage specific projects as needed.

• Mentorship: Oversee and review the work of less experienced engineers and drafters, providing the technical guidance necessary to help them grow.

• Future Leadership: While you won't supervise a team immediately, you will likely move into a supervisory and team leadership role as the office grows.

GOTTA HAVE IT

• Education: BS or greater in Civil Engineering.

• Certification: Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

• Experience: 6–15 years of relevant engineering experience.

• Expertise: Ability to competently address complex civil engineering design challenges, recognize design/drafting issues, and guide less experienced staff.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 annual salary (based on full-time status).
